Tell the Secret

Admitting you did something you're not proud of takes courage. Grace finally told her dad what was going on. She knew he would be disappointed, but they developed a plan together; he supported Grace as she worked to make things right. Though her "friends" dropped her, she is feeling better about herself and is getting back on track.

  • What Next?
It may be hard to tell your parent or a trusted adult that you've done something that feels wrong, but sometimes you just have to do what's right, not what is easy. Just because your parent is deployed doesn't mean there aren't people around who can help you. Grace took a big step by talking to her dad and the school counselor to alert them about the cyber-bullying incident. Now Grace know that if she has another problem, she has several people in her support system who she can reach out to if she needs to solve the issue.
