Your feelings may change over time. It's likely that how you felt when you first found out your parent has died won't stay the same throughout your grieving process. Grieving does not have a set path. You may feel sad at one moment or comforted at another. At times you may feel angry and discouraged. Sometimes you may even feel no emotions or just feel numb. Different circumstances may trigger feelings that surprise you. Some of these experiences may include seeing friends with their parents, having to move off base, or your surviving parent dating. Finding positive ways to cope is important to deal with these feelings.
