Finally your parent comes home. Whether you have seen him in the hospital or not, you could have a lot of different feelings all at once. Some of the feelings you might feel are excitement, nervousness, fear, and happiness. Remember that there are no right or wrong feelings. Depending on your parent's injury you and your family may have been fixing the house to make it easier for your parent to get around.
Now that your parent is home you may be wondering what's going to be different. Don't be surprised if your life at home isn't the same as before. There's been a lot of change, not only from your parent being deployed but then from being injured. The routines you had in the past can change as your family adjusts to being together again. You may not be sure if you'll have new responsibilities now that your parent is injured. Open communication within your family can be the key to clearing up any confusion. At times it may be difficult to talk about what's going on, but you might be surprised how helpful it can be if you do. Try not to be too hard on yourself when adjusting to the changes if it takes you longer than you expected.
